I will never be surprised to see Saban jump ship again. There are two things that may keep him there for many years. 1) Bama would sell their own mothers to win in football; and 2) Saban finally realized that he (like Spurrier & Carroll) is a control freak and can never win in the NFL.

7-3 seasons won't cut it in Alabama. He's an up and down coach. They somewhat tanked at the end of last year. If he doesn't bring home a crystal football in a couple of years, that contract may not last.

I don't care if he stays or not but this is a non story like most contract extensions. Saban signed one of these the same year he left for Miami.

Yeah, but he's gettin older, and that will slow down the moves. He would move from a Mich. St. to get to the SEC, but he's at a major player in the best conference, making top $, so what's the incentive to move now? He know's the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. I say he stays at Bama.

    Yup, this is right on.

And I could care less what Alabama does with their coach. He's insignificant to my team now, except one week a year, when we play them.
