    6'1" 175 lb Safety out of Atlanta. Runs a 4.49 40.

    6th ranked safety on rivals.com

Has a list of 9 schools in the running LSU, Florida, Georgia Tech, Georgia, West Virginia, Ohio State, Purdue and Auburn. He just dropped Tennessee out of the running recently.

He will pare his list down a bit in the coming week or two. LSU should end up in his final 3.

This is the one I want to pair up with Loston. We're in it, but it won't be easy.

LSU will be in his Top 3 however after watching his games on ESPNU didnt come away impressed and thought he may be overrated. Like Jawanza Starling and DeVonte Hollman over him.

Scout says he's visiting this weekend with verbal commits Russell Sheppard, Stavion Lowe and Lamin Barrow.

Do we have a shot at him?

We're not holding out a great amount of hope.

But, he is visiting officially this weekend. That's a start.

    Re: Darren Myles

Any idea if the [hopefully soon] upgrade at defensive coordinator could give us an effective late push?

'Look.. we got a hell of a coach coming in that puts out NFL linebackers better than anyone. What happens when you have stud linebackers..? It lets the safetys move around and make plays. Want to be a star.. want to be in the NFL? :LSU231:'

[Somethin like that at least. ]

How about Eric Berry is arguably the best safety in the nation and will be a top 10 pick in the NFL draft next season?

FWIW he was hurt that game, and most of the season. Carver football was the dregs of Atlanta city football until his dad became the coach. Miles is a big LSU fan and was originall from New Orleans.

    Looks good for us.

I don't we end up with this guy though. Hes one recruit that obviously has been affected by our season, he said it in a recent interview. He was questioning Miles and staff of why we were playing so inconsistently and slow. Whether or not they panned that out, remains to be seen.

I think it will be Johns and Loston as our Safeties. I'd love Myles to surprise me though.
