Starts tomorrow morning. Maybe this is the year for the US squad since they are a distinct underdog. If the Americans continue to follow the trend up falling behind early, this could get real ugly. :usaflagwa
I kind of like our chances, at least more than most. This team doesn't have many big names but they certainly have more talent than the no-names from a few years ago - ie) Vaughn Taylor. We are still pretty big underdogs but I like the group as a whole.
Lots of rookies on both squads. We have six and I think I read where the Europeans have four. How they handle the pressure may play a big role in the outcome. I like Anthony Kim's poise and game. I think if anybody can hold up to the pressure, he can.
It sounds like this course is going to be set up nicely for our players strengths. I also like Kim, Weekly and some of the other rookies. Im not sure about J.B. Holmes and I would rather have seen Justin Leonard not qualify but overall the team looks decent. The Euro's look incredible though. They are loaded with big players up and down that lineup and for whatever reason they just shine in this event. They also try to psych us out all the time and Garcia is the main agitator. I would love to see him get drilled in the heard by an errant tee shot. It will take a big upset to beat them but maybe we can pull one off this time. I got the DVR ready to go and will watch all of it between football games and partying!

Americans up 2 matches and tied in the other 2 American's made up considerable ground in the past hour. Momentum all in American's favor. Just got to finish the deal now.
Mickelson/Kim ended up halving the match. They could have won it on 18 but Kim botched an easy sand shot. Then they had to wait out a Harrington putt just to halve the match. Harrington is usually nails with these putts but it just slid past the hole. Great match.
