What does bonding have to do with how well you play golf? Tiger and Mickelson hate each other but both have played well when paired in a tour event
because most people play better when playing for something greater than themselves. it helps when you truly care for your teammates.
I don't know. Sure in football or basketball or other team sports but golf is an individual sport like tennis. A Magic Johnson or Larry Bird or Michael Jordan makes his teammates better but in golf you can't make a great pass to set up your teammate for a birdie.
nope but like the olympics when you play for your country, theres a bigger purpose. And its often reflected in the performances of even individual sports. now someone like tiger, its different. he hates everyone but himself anyhow. we're talking about the more normal people.
They do seem to set a lot of world records in the Olympics in individual sports like swimming and track but then in those cases the athletes have trained for 4 years with everything geared to have their best performance at that time
Looks like Phil and Tom Watson didn't do to much bonding Phil Mickelson, Tom Watson feud in extremely awkward team USA Ryder Cup press conference http://www.sbnation.com/golf/2014/9...on-tom-watson-comments-ryder-cup-captain-2014
And that provides insight to what I wrote earlier. The US plays as 12 rich, spoiled millionaires and the Euros play as a hungry team.
