Ryan Theriot to Dodgers Ryan Theriot Traded for Blake DeWitt - Ryan Theriot - Zimbio well, Ryan Theriot is definitely, and without a doubt, my most favorite LSU player EVER (of any sport, mind you.) that is saying a lot coming from someone such as myself even though it's no surprise how i feel about LSU baseball -- it is without a doubt as vital to me as is the blood pumping through my veins.... without it i would surely succumb to nothingness. some of you old-timers on the board surely remember the magical turnaround season in 2008. i know i do! out of all of my LSU baseball memories i don't think anything can compare to when, against ole miss, with no one left available to pitch, Skip asked the infielders if anyone would be able to go in and throw a few to get some outs and ryan theriot took the mound! that is without a doubt, my favorite LSU memory ever -- not even when he broke up the no-hitter against mark prior of southern cal in the 2000 CWS that was vital to winning the title that year!!! it's better than the championships, better than all of the moments of glory! i don't know why, but it is. maybe because it was my favorite player going beyond the call of duty and rising to the occasion, and that it was against ole miss, and it was on my birthday. that's probably it. :thumb: personal feelings aside, the Dodgers are a team on the rise. :tigbas: :geauxtige i just hope this doesn't cut into his PT. theriot was a good, reliable infielder for the cubbies. even though i hate the cubs and i really, really have been liking what the dodgers have been doing, i hope he doesn't end up on the short-end of the stick here.
sorry... i'm an LSU fan and i come here to talk LSU and i never check those other forums that aren't the "the den." otherwise i would have posted this here. can't post it in places i don't go though. i'll probably never follow this thread now, thanks. :insane: :dis: :hihi: <----- with emphasis on this one.
speaking of $5.99, it's totally time for me to re-contribute. look at me complaining and being all belligerent and i haven't even paid for that right! man this sounds a lot like America. :hihi:
Former LSU and Atlanta Braves pitcher Trey Hodges lives in Lafayette now. I've had the opportunity to meet him and he says what a great guy Theriot is, said he is somone who has made that most out of every single ounce of talent he has. I wish he would not have been traded. Loved it when he and Fontenot were starting @ ss and 2nd.
i agree, just hope he doesn't take a drastic cut in PT. i mean, when the astros are kicking your ass in the division.... just sayin'.
