Re: Ryan Perrilloux back on team per Buddy Songy I think we should trust Les Miles and, if he deems it appropriate, retain hope of a repeat visit to Atlanta and a BCS bowl to boot! That's what I'm a-thinkin... But I'll still yank Clair's chain a bit if it all goes teets-up.
Re: Ryan Perrilloux back on team per Buddy Songy That is fine. As long as you are willing to eat crow in fall. b/c you will be. But my prediction is you will slide it under the rug and try to tell people "I told 'em all along."
Re: Ryan Perrilloux back on team per Buddy Songy Miles announced today, I was two feet from him (yes i am his stalker), that as long as Perrilloux keeps going to class that he will be reinstated fully before the end of spring and will most likely get to practice with the team he said "We will have him back before the end of spring" www.lsureveille.com
Re: Ryan Perrilloux back on team per Buddy Songy The drama. It's like Friday Night Lights, but - well - a day later?
Re: Ryan Perrilloux back on team per Buddy Songy So what's up next? RP gets caught red-handed molesting little children? Seriously, it seems like a few just don't like him and can't wait for him to get kicked off the team. Such people need to drop the grudge.
Re: Ryan Perrilloux back on team per Buddy Songy I personally think RP (or ANY player with similar issues) should be given every chance to get it right. I feel it would be an injustice for any staff to give up...not try to help a boy become a man. There is harsh extremes on both sides of the issue in this thread. Some act as if he's pretty much done nothing other than act his age. Others act as if he should rot in jail. IMHO, NEITHER is the case. He HAS overstepped the boundaries...more than once. By that same token, he isn't a felon by any stretch of the imagination. I doubt anyone underestimates his POTENTIAL, but...even with the SEC MVP...his career thus far has been less than jawdropping. It doesn't help that the most memorable thing about his career thus far is the off the field issues and suspensionS. He is the one that came to town claiming to be the second coming. You can write that off as immaturity, and you'd be right. Howver, that was over 3 years ago. He's of legal age now, and it would be nice to see some maturity developing. He's not a kid...not a teenager anymore. He's 22 years old. I was married with a kid at that time. He has a kid, too...so he is open to criticism when he does stupid things. I hope he IS back on the team...starting...and leading the Tigers to the :crystal:...collecting 2 of his predicted 4 Heismans along the way. But he hasn't earned anyone's respect yet...so don't get all pissy when people disrespect him. Quit exaggerating his performance in the SECCG...with a "10 inch hole" in his finger. That happened later in the game...not like he played the whole day with it. Also, Clair...YOU say he started with little notice. I doubt it. Miles doesn't openly speak about those issues...and you know as well as I do that RP was QUITE certain all week leading up to that game that he would be starting. He's a RS Junior with 2 starts under his belt...with one being an SEC opponent. Regardless of what anyone else says, he performed admirably in that game...but yes...it required a BONEHEAD throw from Ainge and a good play from Zenon to win the game. He has two years to prove HIMSELF. I wish him the best. He doesn't need anybody on here to prove anything for him...it's on him.
