    Are you trying to downplay RPs performance, I guess its far fetched to think that maybe offense combined with defense can win games. Without the offense it would have been 14 to 14.:huh:

    While technically, that is true, the game wouldn't have been colse enough for the D to win it if RP hadn't kept us in it. It could have been more like what Oregon looked whne Ryan Leaf's brother took over.:eek:

    Just the facts: Tennessee was 10th in the SEC in scoring defense giveing up 46 TDs. RP took us on one successful TD drive in that game. He made some spectacular plays in the game but he wasn't consistent enough to put us in the endzone more than once.

    Here is another opinion of Tennessee as an opponent.
    "Great year for Tennessee. God was clearly on their side. How else do you explain their good luck. First, they have 3 big losses; yet still win the SEC East because they beat Georgia and thus win the tie-breaker against Georgia (who only has 2 losses, but both in conference). Then, never has a team been luckier than the Vols were against South Carolina. Take that back. The Vols were luckier a couple weeks later against Vandy as the Commodores winning field goal strikes the goal post; and luckier still (by a factor of 10) against Kentucky -- winning in 3 OT's with more breaks than a fleet of 18 Wheelers."

    The facts are that he had the talent to score in that game and that defense alone didnt win that game. That was the SECCG, it takes guts to play well on that big of a stage.

    Are you serious, you need to let the RP hate alone for awhile. RP had a great game in his 2nd start as a Tiger and having a great game as a QB is more than scoring TDs. Ask Mauck. RP moved the team up and down the field and managed the game like I would want any QB who played for the Tigers to do.

    Also for the record Clair said if he is not back today he will be shortly and that is going to be true. Anyone who thinks not just doesn't understand the process. Clair is in the middle between the 2 extremes on the RP situation. RP is doing everything we wanted him to do after getting suspended and for some reason that is another negative because he might not join the team today?:huh:

    If RP was going to be kicked off the team it would have happened weeks ago. Get over it and support Miles, RP, and the teams' stance on the situation because that is all that really matters.

    I was under the impression that we were discussing the Real World™ here and not what is "officially" on the books. You know as well as I do that not everything major college athletes is made public to the airwaves and newspapers.
