However....there are also a lot of our fans who are sick and tired of hearing his name mentioned in negative contexts- regardless of whether he was provoked/not provoked, etc. and that's assuming we take things at face value. Count me in- if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...just too much smoke for me not to think there's not sum fiya.

Why did we never hear Flynn's name in any such contexts? Hestor's? Chad Joness'? I could go on but I'm sure you get my point.

I am still holding out hope though.

 

That was Paul Thompson who was the QB but lost the job to Rhett Bomar so not necessarily a reach for him and Rhett actually took money amongst other things that broke the NCAA Rules.

and that is how "perception" can bite you in the butt. not what the average fans thinks, but what recruits believe.

 

Every major program around us has their problems if we had none those coaches would make up some for us, they will any way. But I agree we do not need to give them any ammunition.

I've never heard of any "F*** Tebow" incident, not saying it didn't happen, I've just never heard of it. I did know about the situation were fans got Tebow's cell phone number, in fact, I even had a fan dial it up for me and I got to listen to Tebow's voice-mail message.

But as for players getting kicked off LSU's team, Tirk wrote a pretty good opinion piece up above expressing his side's views on the whole matter. Some of the things he touched on were that players have been kicked off LSU's team for lesser matters than those of RP. If that's true, that would be an interesting thing to learn about. If I was for RP being kicked off the team, I'd try to prove how Miles/LSU/TAF has kicked others off the team for hurting LSU less than RP has. The LSU Reveille editorial printed today wrote that:

"During Perrilloux's embarrassing streak of bad behavior, Miles has kicked six players off the team - Tyson Andrus, Derrick Odom III, Jeremy Benton, Troy Giddens, Zhamal Thomas and Kyle Anderson."

However, the Reveille didn't take the time to diligently explain any of the situations involving those kids, and comparing and contrasting them to RP's situation. For example, the only player listed that I've heard anything about was Odom, and I read that he had two different situations where he was accused of damaging the vehicles of other people (punching in windows, stuff like that). And I have no idea if that's the only thing he was accused of. For all I know, the guy was a jerk, had no respect for Miles, no respect for his teammates, was hated by his teammates, and was an obvious choice to be kicked off the team, even if the whole team voted on it.

no other player is going to be allowed the 10 strikes program perrilloux currently enjoys.

how is miles going to instill discipline the next time a player gets in trouble when this standard is set. double-standards to this degree become a negative over time. dont think the other players dont already see it. you cannot unring this bell.

im not sure how anyone is defending miles or rp at this point. loyalty and trust is one thing. sheer blindness is another.

You never know these days seen on TV a woman became a man looks like a man now and now having a baby, go figure.

I agree there is a whole lot of smoke around RP, I just hope they can get it straightened out before it burns the whole thing down. RP is kind of got his self in a bad position now if he goes out some one will be trying to set him off, kind of like going to a bar and being the biggest guy in there someone is going to try you before the nights over.
