I'm gonna defer to Coach Miles on this one. He's the one who has all the info, and it's his ass if he handles it wrong, and he knows it.

Trust our head man, guys, He's earned it.

dude may be immature and may make dumb mistakes.

But football is all he's got.

Is his ignorance on some thing really worth taking away his life?

Les is like a dad to a lot of these guys (Perrilloux included)...

    IT's like poker.

If you keep him around, there is a 75% chance he will grow up and be a great player

If you kick him off, there is a 100% chance he will quit school and become "what could have been."

yes but it sets a very bad example. once or twice, yes. three times, maybe.

but think of the message it sends the rest of the team, say, a jarret lee, who is busting his ass at practice everyday or even some no name walk-on while the stud qb is nowhere to be found except the nightly news.

Everyone realizes the star players get preferential treatment yet when said player doesnt respect himself, the coach or the university enough to stay out of trouble for more than a week, it looks bad for everybody. it sheds a negative light on the football program as a whole.

Im sure Jarret Lee realizes his ass woulda been shipped out long ago with less than half the same transgressions. or any other player for that matter.

in the long run, this is not a good thing and theres no way to spin it. Miles made a promise and commitment to many other mothers as well. Not just one.

And hes kicked off others for far fewer headaches than perrilloux has created.

    and continues.

with all due respect, if this isn't the star QB, a lot of people don't even know this is going on.

A good example is the LB who was suspended. Good player, but no one even knows (some of you may still not know) that he is suspended, because it isn't the "sexy story".

Dude isn't the headache is seems.

He just is the one that is the most fun to talk about.

I do agree, though. He needs to get his junk straight.

But J. Lee can go into the same restaurant and do the exact same thing and no one would ever know.

the reality is you dont see any other player repeatedly getting his name in the headlines. only perrilloux. and its not simply because hes the quarterback. thats bunk.

you dont see miles having to hold continual press conferences regarding any other player's status on the team. is perrilloux being singled out just because he is a high profile player? hell no.

perrilloux is either a trouble-maker, an absolute moron or both. thats clear to anyone involved now. that includes those that defended him up until this (5th?) time, including myself.

whether its legal issues or not is irrelevant at this point.

excusing his conduct simply because he's a so-called bigger target is a lame excuse. it comes with the territory and the perks you receive from being in that position is ample compensation.

even if not, the millions he's due if he simply avoids conflict should be more than enough motivation. I mean, hell, you can train a dog to respond with a simple treat.

yet we're talking millions that hes on the verge of pissing away and soon to be bagging groceries.

In my opinion, his last straw should have been this one. I no longer support miles' decision no matter how complex it is beyond the public's knowledge--regardless what promises he made to his mom. This program is a million times bigger than one ryan perrilloux.

Miles owes the team and the university a better example than whats currently on display as the face of the so-called franchise. RP is making a mockery of the entire situation.

Les Miles is better than this plus he doesnt have to win this year. You get a free pass after winning a NC.

Time to bring in a young kid that wants to be here and represent the university with a bit of class. He can gain valuable experience during our "rebuilding" year whether it actually is one or not.

If RP wants to earn his way back on for his final year of eligibility then so be it. He can prove it first. thats how I would handle it at this point.

Of course, I am not Leslie Miles either but I do know a mockery when I see one.

And Perrilloux is clearly making a mockery of les miles and this program. And as a paying customer and alum, he is no longer worth it for me.

Id just as soon go 6-6 at this point with someone more representative of the p&g.

    enough is enough.

im not one of those that gives les a pass because he is the coach and knows better. he has his self interests at heart as most would and i am sure he is getting patted on the back every day and feels no pressure. but lots of people earn a bad rep whether they deserve it or not and les is on the verge of being a bobby b. and if he earned that rep while the rest of the country was completely wrong then thats fine...but that is quickly not becoming the case here. and that doesnt mean he is a bad person at all because we know he isnt...but public perception is big in football and we are clean right now. lets keep it that way.

*rp was very fortunate three years ago that lsu liked him and that should have been his only second chance. and going back to the first point in tirks quote i am not sure why being arrested is the dividing line.

Somebody gets it! And a Bama fan at that! (just kidding, TB3:hihi:)

There are laws, and apparently he hasn't broken any of them too bad. But there are also TEAM RULES...and nobody can deny that he has broken these REPEATEDLY. If he hasn't, then Coach is a liar.

If it makes all you Program > Player guys happy, I can tell you the team voted unanimously for him to be on the sidelines on Sat.

I agree with everyone with that math equation... and I do think that anything else involving the law or involving citations, etc... he should be gone.

But I don't think calling a guy Osama is worthy of bye-bye.

If that even happened, because in reality everyone reports it all differently.

I do know for a fact that whatever it was that DID happen, the police were not called. I heard that from the spokesperson myself... So that's 1 lie by the restaurant. Who's to say they not fabricating more and more to get their name in the press?
