Well I do work in the media. And the 1st thing you learn is that the best part of being in the media doghouse for an athlete is the ability to get out of it, because the cameras will always be on you, so when you do something "good" everyone will see it.

Whether or not he would actually deserve it is unknown, because I can't predict what other teams will do, but if he has a great season, he WILL be in consideration, just because of the "Bad boy gone good" factor.

why is it unrealistic to make it 2.5?

that would be (excuse the math) 20 tds passing.

If someone as erratic as Flynn got 21 this past year, I would say 20 for Perrilloux is very ,very modest.

Perrilloux: 8 tds in 75 attempts
Flynn: 21 tds in 359 attempts.

In 359 attempts, he would have had 38 tds at that math. :)

I was giving you a line of 10:1 odds he wins it but im not accepting any 20's.

You are a glutton for punishment, i believe. you are offering yourself up to the wolves with comments like these. But, I admire the pair that you have on you. :thumb:

It has nothing to do with punishment.

I think it would be a pretty given fact that Perrilloux is far, far more of a playmaker than Flynn.

That is good and bad, obviously, because like Russell, he may end up trusting himself TOO much and it may cost the team in some spots, but I think we universally expect a more explosive offense.

Perrilloux did have better stats than Flynn did last season. There ain't gong to be any drop-off at quarterback.

    Completion percentage -- Flynn = 56% / Perrilloux = 68%
    Yards per attempt -- Flynn = 6.7 / Perrilloux = 9.2
    Yards per completion -- Flynn = 11.9 / Perrilloux = 13.6
    Passes per TD --Flynn = 17.1 / Perrilloux = 9.4
    Yards per rush -- Flynn = 2.2 / Perrilloux = 4.0

They tied in Championship Game MVP's!

rp has some advantages to get in the heisman mix.

    - we will have big time games on national tv.
    - his name is already out there so maybe the heisman committee will allow him to skip that year where players should have earned it but they make them wait another year.

    disadvantages:
    - sec will limit stats and defenses can make you look bad
    - lafells hands
    - tebow will more than likely have better stats

It's tough to argue with RP's performance in the few minutes we've seen him. He looks goooooooood. And some of that was under some significant pressure.

I still think it's way too early to tell if RP could have pulled off something like the '07 Florida or Auburn wins. Flynn was unflappable, even after making mistakes. RP may be the same, but too early to tell.

I remain hopeful. I still wouldn't take Tirk's bet. Hell, I wouldn't take that bet with Tebow.

Ryan to return to practice on Monday once he finishes the 6 workouts required of the coaching staff.

Will more than likely participate in the Spring game as long as he continues to do the things required of him.

    Welcome back, Ryan.
