No no no! I want to meet this hot, steamy piece of BLEEP.

Please stop by the Team Katt tailgate at the UGA game in October. You'll be able to discuss our offense, special teams, 2009 recruiting class, coaching expectations and so much more with several TF lady posters!

actually theres no way to measure it so you have no idea if its overrated.

that being said, there has to be leaders behind the scenes in most all winning avenues whether its business or sport (which are one in the same).

flynn, dorsey and hester policed this team and led by example.

if johnlsu doesnt believe flynn waiting his turn for 5 years after moving from another state to don the p&g when he could have easily transferred doesnt exemplify someone special I feel sorry for him and anyone else. character goes a long way my friend. you dont quite appreciate it when its there but its obvious when void.

do fans get caught up pulling for the slow, white guy that resembles them most? sure thats why rudy is one of the greatest sports movies ever. we all root for the underdog. its human nature.

im one who ragged on flynn as well as hester more than anyone. truth be told both guys were special and led this team on the field and off to a championship. to dismiss it is foolish. throw dorsey in there too despite his all-american talent. hes a leader because of his character.

    in the meantime, gfy

Look, a bunch of people already got on you for trashing women, but I don't see anybody getting on you for trashing our QB or our Coach.

In the world of "teams," especially in the world of team sports, there is nothing worse than trashing your fellow teammates or trashing your coach.

Sure, RP trashed Russell and Flynn BEFORE HE JOINED the LSU football team, before he became part of the LSU family, before he became an LSU fan. If RP had been a Tiger fan before he actually joined LSU's team, he never would have originally committed to Texas instead of LSU. In other words, RP was not a Tiger fan, not part of the LSU family, before he actually joined the LSU team (sidenote: Flynn is from Texas, Russell is from Alabama, Jarrett Lee is from Texas, Matt Mauck is from up north -- I doubt they were Tiger fans before they actually joined the LSU team, either).

But, once RP joined LSU's team, joined the LSU family, became a Tiger fan, I seriously doubt he ever trashed any of his fellow teammates or his coach. Remember, RP sat out 3 seasons for the LSU team, when he could have easily transferred to a school that would let him play immediately. In addition, I remember watching the SEC Championship, where RP was very clearly submissive to Matt Flynn on the sideline. In fact, the announcers even pointed on national TV out that Matt Flynn was being too smothering to RP.

I haven't heard anything about RP, as an actual member of LSU's team, trashing any of his teammates. Yet, I read all these discussions here where some Tiger fans have no problem trashing RP. To me, trashing RP is an example of poor leadership, poor character as an LSU fan. It's funny how its often the Tiger fans who display poor leadership, poor character that are the ones who trash RP for poor leadership, poor character.

I haven't heard anything about RP trashing Coach Miles. Yet, I read all these discussions on here where some Tiger fans have no problem trashing Coach Miles. To me, trashing Coach Miles is an example of poor leadership, poor character as an LSU fan. Again, it's funny how its often the Tiger fans who display poor leadership, poor character that are the ones who trash RP for poor leadership, poor character.

its clear RP is a piss-poor leader. thats obvious to most anyone. hes still quite immature, seemingly, but a super talent needed desperately by a coach who just got a raise from 1.2 or whatever to 4 million dollars.

les is now in saban pressure cooker territory and its almost win at all costs. RP is taking advantage of it or hes simply dumb as fug and one lucky sob (likely).

thankfully, most of les' recruits have been character successes so theres no fear of becoming the U.

Yes, that was very special of Flynn to wait his turn for 4 years (not 5) instead of transferring. I've made that point many times on here. Note that RP did the same thing for 3 years, when RP could have transferred to a starting job at another school at lot easier than Flynn could have. Sure you could point out that Flynn never got suspended from the team (not that I know of), but even if he had, I'd be sticking up for him, just as much as I stick up for RP.

Re: Ryan Perrilloux back on team per Buddy Songy

Being a leader on the field may be the most important thing, but it in order to be that guy, you have to actually make it to the field. How well did Ryan lead us at bama last year? Oh that's right, he didn't make the trip. I sure am glad Matt didn't get knocked out of that game. We would have never heard the end of it from bama fans. RP being suspended 3 times in a 1 year period does not inspire confidence. Nobody expects RP to be the moral example off the field, but it would help if he could just meet Coach Miles' requirements to stay on the team. So far, he has not done a great job at that. I attribute most of that to a lack of maturity and perhaps he is past that now. Certainly time will tell and Miles seems to have some confidence he either will, or has come around, or he would probably not be on the team.

And as to fans banging on the coach/team, etc when they do something goofy, it's not our job to be leaders. We are paying $ to be fans. When you purchase a product, you have the right to complain about it if you are dissatisfied. Like it or not, fans will bitch, and they do have the right to do so. Doesn't always make sense to everyone, myself included, but that is just reality.

there are some who shouldnt be defended except by maybe a lawyer.

defend the character guys not the pain in the asses (pains in the ass?). its like the parents who defend their juvenile kids regardless. its counterproductive.

I may be wrong to expect it, but I do. Don't think it's a matter of turning it off and on and "Off the field" behavior carries over to "On the field."

Have been very impressed with R. Shepard's comments to now- far cry from RP's pre-LSU ones but I'm still in RP's corner and believe he'll be okay. *fingers crossed*

my rant wasnt about last years team or players, just the idea in general. i didnt mean the "slow white guys" werent leaders, but the ones they put on tv all the time arent necessarily the people the team actually calls its leader. as for last year i would assume all of those guys that were on tv all the time were great guys, i have no idea. i know grad speaks highly of gd and others have spoken kindly of many of the other seniors.

you knew your intent. that would be like telling a black guy his family was really good at picking cotton. i am sure they would take that as a compliment. :dis:

This is my prediction (and/or expectation):

Assuming RP stays at LSU for the next two years and doesn't leave for the NFL, RP will not be suspended for any games over the next two years. RP will not miss any games over the next two years. RP might not win the Heisman (probably won't), but he will be a QB that we are all at least satisfied with as an LSU starting QB (expect for those few nutcases that hate him personally).
