hats off to this guy. He had an unbelievable performance inspite of the injury, this was a HUGE defensive game folks, yet he threw for 260 yards and a 67% completion rate. I will just say that I'll be very comfortable with this guy behind center next season. Although he was injured, he didnt get a break from his linemen, that was dissappointing. I mean the guy was literaly fighting for his life although he's injured and have taken some huge hits throughout the game. hats off to Byrd too, the future looks bright with those two leading the way. btw, how about Keiland Williams? The guy is UNSTOPPABLE!!! hats off to Hester and the rest of the guys on offense and defense.
Up until this game for me the jury was still out on RP. I just had not seen enough. Today he showed heart and leadership. He showed heart by playing hurt. He showed leadership by his play on the field. Way to go RP. Keep it up.
Umm, he was injured in the first half and didn't play the rest of the game. I think it's safe to say he done got stopped! Sorry, I just couldn't resist. :hihi:
I liked what I saw from RP. Especially when you figure in the sliced finger on the throwing hand and the bruised knee, I thought he did a great job. Even the int was really not all his fault, and he managed the game pretty well. They held him back a lot trying to make sure he was going to handle the flow of the game, but when given opportunities he made the most of them. He has twice the arm Flynn has and made some great throws. I don't think he did anything spectacular, but he did everything they asked him to. He will be fine. We definitely have something to build on.
After the season is over CLM needs to assign a chaperone 24/7 to RP. We need him next year playing football.
I for one am not impressed. To all of you that wanted to see him this year instead of flynn, well you know what I'm trying to say.
