I dont want anyone who is scared to compete for a starting job. Im not disapointed that he didnt come, even though he would have been a great addition. Challenges are what make players better.
He committed VERBALLY... and as we all know, verbal means about as much as piss in the wind. He wont sign with anyone until he sees how the year goes.
We just won the National Championship without him and we'll win another one without him if he goes elsewhere. We've got two awesome young QB's who ARE TIGERS RIGHT NOW AND WHO ARE BOTH WEARING NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS and we'll continue to kick ass regardless.[/QUOTE] Amen!!! End of Story... Till January :usaflagwa :laflagwav :lsug:
as far as I am concerned, Texas can keep him and all their recruiting national championships, cause we will continue to win NCAA Football National Championships. Mack Brown has yet to turn the talent he recruits into points on the score board in the fall, and that is just fine with me if kids with great talent and big ego choose to go to Texas and end up no where fast.
spurrier wants a no pressure job he can coach in between rounds of golf. duke or UNC will be his hobby while golf remains his life. I bet danny wuerffel has a little brother or a future son who could get in one of those schools soon.
I don't know why some of you are upset. I mean, I personally said good ridence when Lane decided to back out of competition, so I will say the same thing now that RP has decided. At least he didn't lead us on for 4 or 5 months before changing his mind on signing day. I want somebody who wants to compete for a job, not have it handed to them on a silver platter just so they will come to school there.
