Thanks for the highlights LPrimo. He is aggressive and takes a very direct path to the ball. Looks like he has a great motor, good balance on the catch and run he made also.
He has to play tougher than he looks. Have you seen his picture. He looks like Opie Taylor on the Andy Griffith show. No one will mistake him for Jack Lambert with his missing teeth.
this thread is why I hate combines and I hate "workout drills". How often in a football game does someone run 40 yards in a dead-straight line without pads on? How often in a football game does someone have to bench press someone or something? How often in a football game does someone have to run through or around cones? Take Hester. You think he'd be the "prettiest" guy at the combine? I don't, but the dude is a football player.
Combines and things of that nature should be used to AIDE in the scholarship process or to help get an idea, but no, you're right, they should NOT be an "end-all/be-all" measurement of a player's talents on a football field.
