opine: o·pined, o·pin·ing, o·pines v.tr. To state as an opinion. v.intr. To express an opinion: opined on the defendant's testimony. another reason I need to post here....let me know if you need any other help.
Or swerved, the ignore feature works wonders! never used it before but this is nice! Of course until somebody quote replies his post then I am screwed again!
more billary commie nonsense coming from so-called Tiger fans. When people don't toe your line y'all resort to Carville-nag-commie posts...don't worry, it only fuels the fire to bring balance to an otherwise herd mentality.... Russell is still over-rated!
Answer: No. My m.w. job puts food on the table and roof over our head so I'm quite content... It's amazing how opines that differ from the dandydon homer herd causes such angst... much like political parties, fan forums should be big enough to allow differing opinions including tough, hard-nosed opinions and debate without resorting to lowball techniques of trying to squelch opines and personal insults that fill this forum like the kind that Tenn dude received. Yeah, I didn't agree with his opines either, but that's his. Back to subject...Russell is starting this weekend. I hope he doesn't flub. I hope that his career is better than Leaf and our very own LaFleur, but Russell never showed he could consistently (seasons) make smart plays... he is over-rated as a college QB, but debate is still out for pro level... can anybody offer an opinion either to agree or disagree?
Its amazing to look back at the predraft Manning-Leaf debate over which QB should be picked first. At that time, it was evenly divided where a lot of people thought Leaf, with his cannon for a arm, had the bigger upside. If you go back and look at the QBs that were picked higly, its not a good record. Basically, you're flipping a coin whether or not the QB lives up to expectations which isn't acceptable when you're talking about that high of a pick. If you were to go pick another position with that high pick, you'd have a much higher expectation that the pick will live up to expectations. And, it doesn't help that these QBs are rushed into action earlier than they should have been because of how much salary cap they eat up when they were selected that high. JR shouldn't be starting this game against SD. He needs to build some confidence for next year, and he should have started against a porous NFL defense, the NFL version of ND, not a well motivated SD team which needs to win this game to get the #3 seed and thus avoid New England.
Disagree. Look at his record as a starter, lost only 4 games, playing big time competition. If you think it was all the supporting cast, look at the games he won on HIS ARM in the last seconds, or in overtime. You saw him only as a soph and a jr., never as a senior with 3 years of experience under his belt. Look at the play he made, that no other QB in college could have made, remember his 55 yd. pass to LaFell in the Sugar Bowl against ND, on the run, dead on the spot! JR was a great college QB. I tell you, after the Fla. loss his last year, LSU was the hottest and toughest team in America. The worthiest opponent for Fla. in the nat. championship game was LSU, not tOSU. There is a reason he was the highest rated pick in the draft. Missing training camp hurt him, but I don't blame him, it hurt the Raiders, and it is their fault they did not make him reasonable offers until the season started. You can't tell what you've got with JaMarcus for at least 2 more seasons, if he has taken most of the reps. There is a risk with him, that he has relied on his superior physical tools through his career, and in the NFL, that will only take you so far. I think he can learn what he needs to know to succeed, he had to go through that his redshirt frosh season at LSU. I think he will be fine.
