Raiders gave up Moss for, I think, was a fourth-round pick...
A list of a few NFL bust:
Leaf, Shuler, McNown, Trev Alberts, Bosworth, Lawrence Phillips, Mandarich...the NFL does make mistakes
The selfishness quote is not about him not signing so much as his play and general attitude....if you know people very close to the team then you would know Russell didn't exactly endear himself to his team...but those guys ain't gonna throw him under the bus either...

Let's just let this play out....in a few yrs we'll see what kind of bust Russell we be or have....http://thelouisianasportsmen.com/ article on very subject of Russell

Yes, I know many close to the team and this is about the opposite from what I have heard.

"Jealousy, jealousy the root of all evil...."

Y'all take your opinions waaaay to seriously around here. Like Limbaugh, I'm the balance y'all need, not to mention the "real truth detection" my humble opines offer here and dare I mention where else, but won't.

My facts, when presenting facts, are accurate. Please comment on my blog where my facts aren't please. My opines are just that...like yours, but less serious and authoritative (saying with Dan Rather look).

Like the nags and bleeding heart libs, when opines don't jive with yours y'all want to shut people down or up.

Very American or should I say Russian of you...Billary would be proud of y'all

Opinions are fine when argued with logical facts but from your 26 posts you can see why you get labled a troll. TF has seen its fair share of trolls and I doubt many posters from TF are going to visit your blog to gather "facts" for a debate.

Well, let's get back on track here. Reading the previous posts (opines) before mine regarding Russell, they were not too favorable of him either. I just added more sauce to my opinion (not worthy of overall first pick and being selfish). Those are opinions, but based on several first hand accounts that's where the "selfish" opinion came from.
You heard different... I can live with that, no biggie.

Regardless...Russell's development will be long and the final outcome will be years in the making so right now it's all opinion, but my opinion that Russell may end up being a bust and being over-rated while he was here at LSU is poohed on. I can't help it if I believe there were about five or six better QB's in LSU's history than Russell.
Whether Russell proves to be a good pro doesn't matter, it's about his college career I'm basing his ranking among other LSU QB's on.
Danny Weurfel (spelling??) was an excellent college QB but he wasn't a good pro..Major Applewhite same thing and he couldn't even make the pros...

I just hope Russell doesn't join David Lafleur (TE) on the all-time NFL bust list...

Why would anybody, with the possible exception of Raider fans, be bitter about Jamarcus getting picked first? Even if he's a bust, Jamarcus will be set up financially for the rest of his life. Although, he does need to keep an eye on all that bling cause that can add up.

never underestimate the significance of JR missing all of his rookie training camp. I watched some his action on sun and it was downright putrid. I can def. see why kiffin was down on JR. the saints have had this problem with Meachem and his knee which caused him to miss most of training camp -yet to see the active list. take the QB position with all of its complexity and burden on one man and JR's struggles don't surprise me in the least. however, lasportsman, you're jumping the gun with all this bust garbage talk if you're basing it on solely on his play this year.
