Shep did finish his LSU career with double the rushing attempts he had as receptions, and last year he had about 4 times the rushing attempts he had as receptions
Shep was a quick, elusive player who just didn't pan out at lsu, I think the coaches have him every chance possible. Maybe being able to work at a craft full time without have to go to class might help him progress. I'm thinking he makes the practice squad because Kelly will see potential.
Another tough day for Shep in Preseason Game Two. Per the ESPN box score, 15 different Eagles had 34 passes thrown to them (two of whom didn't even make a catch), but Shep was not one of them (last game Shep was thrown to more than any other Eagle) The only place Shep showed up on the box score was with one tackle. I guess it was considered "not much" of an output by a 5*. The sad truth is that Shepard probably peaked in high school. Some guys do. In retrospect, he probably should've converted to DB, but that was an incredibly deep position at LSU until last season.
He has a shot with Special Teams, remember Danny McCray made it one Special Teams, in his 5 year with the Cowboys. Michael Ford looked good returning Kickoffs and playing RB with the Bears, he has a great shot to make their team.
