Off subject, but I found it odd that J.Landry got so much play in the ship though his only memorable reg season plays were on special teams. Did he even play a down on O during reg season. LSUDad, please correct me if I'm wrong...

I would suspect he is considering transferring. Word is many of the offensive players have confidence issues in the last 24 hours that LSU is a place they can showcase their talents. Some of the bigger ones Ware, Shepard etc who came in highly recruited and are not getting much playing time, or little impact are having a rough go about where they are at. Again what I heard nothing more than a rumor but makes sense with this tweet
I hope this does not effect Keil. Shepard I could really care less. I hope he doesnt leave because he will be a senior but if he left we wouldnt be losing anything.

But this is not good because he is an LSU sunshine pumper if he is having doubts about LSU this cannot be to good I suspect.

Which to me is a huge over reaction. But I can see why he is mad, it was a complete and utter failure.

It's amazing how the nature of that loss shakes true fans. I imagine a recruit would be unsure of LSU. What does the school/coaches need to do to inspire confidence

paranoid rumors like this spread around everytime we lose (fortunately we rarely lose), and I just assume they are false

but if this is true, this means that Mett isn't a good QB, bc if he was, his receivers and RBs wouldnt be talking about leaving

I think it was the nature of the loss and on the stage that it was that has really shaken this to the core for many people.
We will lose again but this one for some reason has a great deal of stink on it because of all the bad stuff around it.
The Miles decision to never put in Lee was obviously not seen as a positive with the team and obvioulsy the fans (See the post game quotes by players)

The fact it was our hated rival who humilated LSU on the most public of stages. That didnt help if it was Okie State I bet the sting would be less.

The fact we are the only team to ever be shut out in a NC game.
And worse the defense played more than well enough to win the game.

The utter failure of a much maligned QB who showed some very poor character last night.

Our coach who I loved I think has lost the most in all this. We all knew JJ was horrible. But Les over the last two years has really won everyone over.
Sadly and I can tell by many that has been really shaken.

Which is sad but a fact.

So that is why this one is getting much more sadness and vitriol.

It's simple .... be flexible and let the players shine.

Miles may have cost himself some great recruits next year. His dogged stubborness to make JJ his QB, when you had a winning combo right in front of your eyes, and not having the flexibility to change the game plan to let any other player other than JJ be the star, is what cost LSU the game last night. No star player is going to want to come to LSU and be subjected to the crap that went on last night ... and really for many, this entire season.

Granted .. Bama was an exceptional team .. but LSU had even greater exceptional talent potential. Bottom line .. Miles blew it.

Sheppard is an exceptional talent ... but you have to put him in a game plan that allows that exceptionalism to shine. CLM hasn't seemed to be able to much of that for any player ... other than JJ .. who is incapable of shinning .. because he is not exceptional.

I know this .. if I were a star passing QB, or a star WR .. .I'd think twice about comming to LSU. I love smashmouth, in the trenches football, but you have to have the pass to win the big one. .... and a passing game just doesn't seem to be that important to CLM.

I will say this and it hasnt been really mentioned except in a few remote posts.
I really dont think Lee would have made that much of a difference. Sure he may have at least moved the ball a bit and maybe had a spark and I was screaming for it.

But I hate to admit the way Bama's D was playing and Lee's pension to also panic with a rush and throw off his back foot (See the game that didnt mean anything)
I personally think the headlines would have read
"Lee brings a spark but falters under the pressure to cost LSU a chance at an undefeated season"
