He wasn't too far into the doghouse, since he did get a carry later in the game. I was also hoping he wouldn't ride the pine for the remainder of the game. He's going to be very special.

I think he was shaken by that hit, too. He was a bit wobbly for a while.

He certainly wasnt in the doghouse but I think had he not fumbled he would have been given a few more opportunities. With his talent he needs more touches. He is without a doubt the most explosive player on the team.

I agree with this. I also know how po'd Miles gets when the ball is fumbled.

I dont blame Les for being mad about the fumble. Lets be honest though, if Shepard wasnt a FR he would have seen more touches after the fumble. We have seen Holiday muff many punts but he still gets opportunities.

Nor do I. Our RBs rarely fumble anymore.

Yeah, he was shaking his head as he lined up at wideout on the very next play. He had cobwebs.

The stats you listed were from when he was being recruited.

He has had 8 months in Moffitt's program.

    He's over 200 lbs.

    I don't believe he is 220-225.

    well height/weight wise they are proportionate (6'4" 230 vs 6'1" 205)

But you can't have your main QB going on 6-7 designed runs and another 3-4 runs from busted plays every game. Unless you're Tim Tebow at 250 lbs.

Shepard would be more effective in those designed runs anyway with the ability to break it for a TD.
