personally i would be plowing through the high schoolers like a combine running through a corn field.

im also not as mature as guys like shep so that may factor into my decision.

But he is one hell of a runner. In fact, I see all these comparisons of Shepard to Percy Harvin, but I never realized Percy Harvin was that awesome (even though he was the #1 overall best recruit in the nation by Rivals.com for the 2006 class). If I believed that Percy Harvin had the running ability/talent that I believe Shepard has, I would actually be terrified of Percy Harvin. To me, Percy Harvin is more like Rueben Randle... yes, a serious threat, but not at the terrifying level of Shepard.

No every down football player in the country has the running ability that Harvin has. He cant be stopped as a RB or as a WR. Why in the hellam I even debating this.

If Harvin can't be stopped as a RB or a WR... then why didn't Harvin kick the living crap out of us last year? In that game, he ran for 11 yards against us and caught for 58 yards against us. The year before that, Harvin ran for 9 yards against us and caught for 18 yards against us. Not exactly unstoppable.

"Cant be stopped" isnt meant to be read literally. Sort of like in NBA Jam, "He's on Fire!" No John, John Starks was not literally on fire.

When Florida executes their offense and he gets in space with a LB, which is how it is designed, ya aint gonna stop him. Only his injuries will.

You have created a level that is listed as "terrifying," and Shepherd, not Harvin is listed there. Who else would you place in that category?

    1. I don't think RS's maturity really has anything to do with dating an older girl. He's obviously very mature for his age, but it comes through in the way he presents himself - not in who he choses to date.

    2. Harvin is very explosive in space, maybe not better than Shepard but its being pretty nitpicky as both are great. Harvin is probably the most explosive player in CFB right now. Honestly though, I'm trying not to let my P&G glasses affect me too much but Shepard is one of the best open field runners I've ever seen film of. A part of me hates to minimize that part of his game by having him at QB, but at the same time I'd hate to lose his leadership & dedication at QB. I trust our coaches to put him in whichever position will allow him to succeed at the highest level, but expect that to be at QB. If not, I'd still be very happy having him as a Harvin-type WR.

Based strictly on each player's high school film, Shepard appears to be a notch above Harvin when it comes to pure running ability. Shepard reminds me a lot of Mcknight with his patience, vision, and gracefulness.
