This kid is unreal. His take on the Perrilloux situation: "Ryan has all the experience at quarterback for LSU," Shepard said. "He has taken the most snaps of any quarterback on the team and hopefully he can get his act together, come back and lead LSU to another National Championship as well as an SEC title. "I hope he gets his act together because I never wish bad things on anyone. While I have heard some negative things about him, I have also heard some very good things. Anytime you do the negative things they are going to come to light more than the good things when you are at that level. I do hope he gets it together so I can learn some things from him when I get on campus."
Some tidbits: Texas did in fact offer Shepard at the QB position when he went up there for Junior Day on Feb 4th. In the end, he just didn't feel comfortable with what Texas already had at the position. He will be coming up for the next 2 weekends to LSU, which means he will not be attending Texas' spring game, which is this weekend, I believe. He had nothing but praise for Garrett, and said they would complement each other nicely.
Easy, trigger. He's a junior in high school. Although, I have to admit. As a junior in high school, I was a walking stiffy with about 1/400th of this kid's self possession. So, maybe he's for real...[knocking on wood - no not that wood]
