Not too often any of us get to see a player with the type of attitude that Shepard has. Pretty good article on him. SHEPARD RELISHES BREAKOUT MOMENT one other tidbit....
Nice to see his side of the picture. That he knows being brought along at a slow pace will serve him well, despite what us fans want. Granted I still think he should get more touches. He is too exciting not to.:LSU231:
I will fully admit to being in the Redshirt Russell crowd earlier this summer and, while I agree he's a PHENOMENAL talent, I wasn't convinced, until this past Saturday, that he belonged on the field just yet. Amazing what a 69-yard run will do for one's outlook, no? And, I love this quote too, for lots of reasons. First it shows how humble this fantastically gifted young athlete is. But, more importantly, if he's learning three positions now, how well will he know them when (if) he becomes 's quarterback? One of the things that makes a great quarterback a great quarterback is that he knows every position on the field. RS is getting a head start on that. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
To be honest, if I were CLM, I'd have a hard time not kissing him too. Dude is special and will help us win championships. We're lucky to have him.
