He was a class act for sure but I think he had plenty of opportunities.

In his final game, he can't even touch the ball once?

All of LSU's charity goes to Les Miles.

We had plenty dropped passes, I guess one more wouldn't have hurt.

Oh and J. Lee wants to know that too.

Gotta disagree w/ you on this one Tiga. Not sure what the story is with RS, but I would have found a way to at least get him the ball once in this game. Hell, I would have a plan to get him at least one touch every game, similar to what LSU did with Trindon Holliday. I'm not saying that RS is the same level of threat as Holliday, but he is certainly the same "type" of threat in that he had the potential to break a simple play into a big game.

But, then again, I get paid with a free hot dog and a coke after a Jr High football game for my coaching skills, so perhaps I missed something.

He could have gotten a few carries, or a screen pass out of the backfield or something.

College football coaching is nut-cutting. You play for victory (in Miles Gump's words) not for sentimental reasons. I doubt he minds not playing in a loss anyway. ;)

Plus, we (fans) put a lot more weight on these bowl games than players do- outside the National Championship. They're a party, gifts, one last hurray for the brotherhood. For a select few they are an exhibition for the NFL scouts too.

Maybe something behind the scenes? The last time I remember RS getting a touch was the long TD run against Towson.
