It's funny how different people can watch the same thing, and see something different. I just went on another site and asked if anyone else saw what I saw, and the first two (and only) responses also thought it was a trick play. Oh well, not trying to argue with anyone...just saw what I saw. I didn't decide I saw it when I saw people posting about the confusion. I saw it while watching the game, and immediately saw it as a trick play gone awry. - FWIW, I have little doubt there was confusion on the play. Maybe that's why it failed so bad. Maybe it was a trick play like I suggest...but the confusion from the players fugged it up. Dunno.
nah i don't think you are trying to be an ass or anything, it's your opinion. it's all good. i have been listening to 1210 and 104.5 excessively for the last 2 days and they all seem to think it was just a big clusterf*ck, and nothing designed. if it was designed, like DRC said, i agree they need a damn Oscar for that one.
Again, I think what DRC is talking about was probably legit clusterf*ck. But I still think it was an attempt at a trick play. I think there's a little of both in this play...attempted trick...and clusterf*ck. -
And all it amounts to is nothing but a clusterf*ck in the end and another offensive meltdown at a critical time. Watch it a again in slomo. It was a mess.
If that was a designed play, it was a pretty dumb designed play. And even if it was MEANT to have shep come on at the last moment, I still blame the coaches because it was piss poor execution.
I agree on all accounts. That said, I still have little doubt it WAS an attempted trick play. I didn't ever say it was a good idea. In fact, I said it was an epic failure. :thumb:
He spent most of Saturday back there or turning in circles and it didn't seem to help. Oh wait, the offensive problems are the QB and the OC - the lack of blocking by the line and downfiled blocking by the receivers never causes problems.
