This post is pointless, the only thing pertaining to LSU is the pic of RS...the rest should be posted in the roundtable, or on a USC/Snoopy Dog Forum.
We all know, not to post articles from a premium site on our Forums. But please don't start a discussion on a free board with..."Thought you all might enjoy some info from the QB Camp this weekend up in Santa Barbara." When there is nothing to see or read for free. We appreciate the info, but a quick synopsis of how RS did would suffice.
I can see Primo's point. Vball is one of our finest rival posters. She does a fantastic job of getting us a viewpoint from the left coast. This thread was definitely a bit of a tease, however. Naughty, naughty vball. :yelwink2:
Don't mention it, and time. I don't think anyone here gives two aats rsses about a Snoop dog, or a Matt Barkley interview on a LSU Recruiting Specific Forum, named LSU TIGER RECRUITING. And I have hatred for ignorance, USC is at least 5th on my list, after Bama, Saban, and items shrink wrapped in hard plastic.
You should revisit the TigerForums User Agreement. A great deal of material on those premium sites is protected by copyright laws. Especially news that is reported on official sites by the staff of those sites. Our user agreement here prohibits posting such material without the permission of the owner/author. In short: We (TF) do not want users to post information off premium sites. We would prefer to err on the side of caution. So yo can thank vball rather than criticize her. She is doing the site here a favor by not posting such information.
My thoughts: 1. Teasing us with information that cannot be shared is kind of cheesy. 2. However pay sites have specific rules about sharing that must be followed. Otherwise no one would pay. 3. Material from copyrighted sites (ALL sites except some public government sites) cannot be simply copied and pasted, it is a violation of law and TF rules. 4. However Free Use is protected by law. It means that one can legally use small representative portions of a copyrighted work as long as it is for a non-profit use, is properly cited, and it does not compromise the owners ability to make money on it. One can post a title and leading paragraph or two, then link to the article. 5. Copyright does not forbid anyone from knowing what they know, only from reproducing it. Someone can share what he knows, in his own words, from whatever sources he has access to.
