What I find really sad about this whole situation is that some people are born with the tools but are too lazy or not committed to achieving the goal of being a professional athlete.
While others aren't as gifted they work their butts off trying to make it some are successful but many are not.
This is what I always think about in these situations.
    What a shame!

Sure about that? Check the date on this article.
Jimbo Fisher remembers a different JaMarcus Russell | ProFootballTalk.com
Not even close. You said it was great to rub their noses in it. As if this thread was about Russell's future career. It wasn't. It was before the 2006 season, and the posters in this thread were proven correct. Russell had an incredible year. Please dispute it with a single FACT.
Because your opinion carries more weight than the facts of course. And the opinions of his coaches at the time. Then and today? Little full of yourself?
Defend that he didn't suck at LSU? In the face of our record and his stats, there is someone that looks pretty stupid here. I will give you 3 guesses who that is.
You used the ray charles line already yrs ago. Not any more clever today. And his stats are not quoted from wikipedia. Just sayin...
Your bias can only be against Russell because he failed in the nfl. He won games and rose above most every QB in college that yr. Unless your bias is based upon something else.
But your opinion, based on nothing is not?
Stick to something you can prove. Wait. You have not done that yet. Nevermind.
    That's the friggin truth.
    WHAT????
If you ever find some, let us know buddy. I will stick with the comments made about Russell by his coaches then and now, his stats which are indisputable, and his record which we would kill to have again.

what did you expect Jimbo to say? he sucked? he would never say that even if he knew it. he still coaches, it would look bad for him to say that. Think what his players or recruits would think of him if he bad mouthed a former QB he coached?

LOL you're a trip dude. You spin everything to try to prop up your BS. funny stuff.

I'm spinning? You just disregard our record, his stats, and his coaches statements(which are now lies to cover their butts) in favor of your opinion, of which you admit you have no evidence to support except for Ray Charles, and I am the one who is spinning?

That's rich. You should run for office. :thumb:

so, what's the objective js?to say that jr was less than stellar at LSU simply is wrong and flies in the face of his record.

by what objective standard did he fail at LSU?

    a failure.....really?.....

    ....really?

you've lost credibility here hoss, quit while you're ahead

Ray Charles is dead. The only acceptable character for that awful attempt at humor these days is Stevie Wonder. Stevie's always been funnier, anyway.

As an equal opportunity insulter I use Ronnie Milsap in addition to Ray.

Is Stevie funnier because he sang that ridiculous duet with Paul McCartney, "Ebony and Ivory"? Surely, Ray Charles was too cool to have gone there, right?
