    Leak is listed as 6...

Why is Russell not being given any thought by anyone?

    Russell
    26-37 for 449 yards 5 TD 1 INT 211.39 rating

    Leak
    40-59 600 yards 7 TD 2 INT185.6 rating

If J-Rock had 22 more attempts, he would have far better numbers than Leak

Generally speaking, most people seem to need a year of publicity before being considered for the Heisman - especially when it is not for a "media darling" team.

JaMarcus didn't deserve consideration last year, so he hasn't gotten the media exposure necessary to be seriously considered this early.

say he goes 20-30 with 2 tds, 1 int in a win Saturday, does he then get on the list?

If he went for 20-30 3 td, 0 ints and had some impressive throws and the tigers win - then I think he'll make the list.

I did not see FLA's first two games, but I'll bet that leak wasn't taken out of the game to get two different QB's playing time. JR would be off the charts if he played more in the LSU games.

Does FLA even have a backup?

Seriously though, I think LSU has to be one of the most stacked teams in all of NCAA Football in the QB spot. I think JR's lack luster season last year is the reason he isn't in the running at the moment. If he has a really strong performance saturday and keeps his QB rating high, they will have no choice but acknowledge him.

they have Tebow who is getting reps, but Leak always played deep into the 3rd in all the games, unlike JR for us

Florida also hasn't played a team as good as Zona, either

Russell will be in the top 2 QB's taken in the next NFL draft. He is a freak.

The only question before was his study/film time and his decision making. So far so good in those areas.

Because ... HE HASN'T PROVED HIMSELF AGAINST TOP RANKED COMPETITION

    Let him:

    1. Beat AU and win big (no fumbles, picks)
    2. Have LSU keep on scoring 40+ (as I stated two years ago, we need to be doing ... with all our speed & talent ... as If anyone ever remembers or listens)
    3. Have LSU run the board to the SECCG.
    4. All this despite having a Knucklehead for a head coach.

Then, Punkin ... you can start a "JR for Heisman" mini-bonfire in that school rag u tool around with.
