I would but I wouldn't want them to land on an LSU fan down below. That's just plain disrespectful.

Syr....I'm in the upper deck, so I can't do it...but...when they give you your one phone call...call me or Chase4LSU, we'll get you out of there!!

Go ahead and rush the field.

I did when we beat Kentucky in basketball for the first time in more than 20 years in the mid 70s under Dale Brown. and I'd do it again in Tiger Stadium.

After all, My brain is still in it's mid 20's....It's just my body that's 56!!!

absolutely not, we are LSU, we don't need to rush the field, we should expect that we have a chance to beat anyone we play, especially at our house.

I do however think that when Saban and the tide take the field that they should pass out the advocate or some newspaper, and everyone should pull the paper up when they take the field. To me that would be a bigger insult than booing that scumbag.

They have doubled the number of cops that surround the field. All the trooper, deputies, and officers from up in the sections come down and line the field in the last 3 minutes.

Some of them have very bad dispositions.

I wouldn't rush the field in numbers less than 2,000. And the first ones that run the line of cops are going to get hammered and cuffed.

I rushed the field after the 95 Auburn game not many people did maybe 40 or so. I remember jumping the fence and having to duck a billy club swinging at my head. I got to the the 35 or 40 and he was still chasing me. I turned around ran my butt off jumped the fence and the wall and did not stop running till I made it out of the Stadium and half way to the Indian mounds.

Rushed the field when we beat Florida too.

To answer the question NO don't rush the field. We are to good for that.

I can certainly understand wanting to be a part of that sort of experience.

I rushed the field when Dinardo's Tigers knocked of #1 Florida on Oct 11, 1997. That was an amazing experience. I was 33 and by no means the oldest guy on the field.

But things are different now. A team with two recent BCS titles and a few SEC championships is far less likely to have such a reaction from the fans after a big win. Plus, beating Alabama would not be as big of a deal as an unranked team knocking off the number one team in the country.

I rushed the field in 1997 when we beat #1 Florida. I rushed the field in 2000 when we beat Bama in Tiger Stadium for the first time since 1969. I casually walked on the field in 2001 when we beat Auburn to secure a spot in our first SEC Championship game.

That was all during the darkest days in LSU history. LSU was not expected to win any of those games. Since then, we have won 3 SEC titles and 2 national championships. Anyone who rushes the field after the last 10 years we have enjoyed should be tazed on sight and made an example for the rest of the crowd.
