Hell no! That's for mid majors to do when they defeat a top 5 juggernaut. I like to think that LSU is better than that. I know it's not as frequent as we'd like but we have beaten Bama before.
My point of view: A) I've never seen a game this big before B) I've never rushed the field C) The only students that might have rushed the field would be seniors. I'm making an assumption since it's hard to find info on it, but I would assume they must have in 2007. If not, than virtually no students have rushed the field. D) I'm only going to be a student at LSU for 3 years. The only games worth rushing would be Alabama this year, Auburn next year, or a top 5 team the year after that. 3 games is all I have that I would feel good about rushing E) Everyone puts so much emphasis on being holier than thou and "look at that school rushing the field". Does it really bother you that much? Do you really think other fans care about it after 10 seconds of seeing it? PS- I already knew the answer would be no when I posted this. The generational lines always differ on this. The young people always say "Hell yea!", the middle aged people say "no", and the older people say, "let the kids have their fun, it's a game".
And the SEC front office says you (School) will be fined if it happens. Fines range from $5,000.00 to $25,000.00. Kentucky fans do that type of shyt, not LSU fans. After the rule was implemented in '06 they got $80,000.00 levied against them for doing that after beating Georgia, Louisville and some other team.
The last game I remember where the students rushed the field was 2001 vs. Tennessee when they came into TS ranked in the Top 5 and LSU was unranked. I don't think we ever rushed the field in 2007. I wonder if South Carolina got fined when their students rushed the field just a few weeks ago after beating Bama. I don't remember hearing anything about it.
i hope you never get the chance to rush the field at LSU that is for schools that very rarely (if ever) win big games it is a way to celbrate something that never happens, not just any big game 10 years ago, yeah Now? We're supposed to win games like this
