Obviously Guice will be a Heisman front runner next year, but I believe next year will be his last at LSU. The cupboard is pretty bare behind him. Williams will be a senior. Broussette is really not that impressive. The other Fournette shouldn't even be on the roster. This year's recruiting class has a 5'7" three-star RB and that's it. Who's next? Is there anyone on the radar? Is there a star coming up in Louisiana?
You can hear crickets chirp at the recruiting forum. Akers and the kid from Jennings Travis Etienne the 2 I have in mind.
He was a highly talented highly recruited RB, him having success shouldn't surprise many. RBs have to wait their turn at LSU.
It's not a desperate position of need, but I do think it would be a HUGE pick up to get someone like Akers.
You realize Guice was a 4 star with offers from UL, Tech, Tulane, Texas and Alabama? Granted Bama and Texas are major offers, it's not like any of us knew who he was before he touched the ball and ran like a scalded-ass ape.
What? You must not have followed him during his receuitment. Guice was a big recruit and was MVP of the Army All American game.
Like I said, EYE didn't know who he was before he touched the ball. And you're correct, I didn't follow his recruiting. Don't think he was on the recruiting forum list here but don't read there much.
