I noticed the backs at Florida are similar in stature (okay give an inch or pound or two) to Trindon. Those backs did not run constantly to the outside even on early downs. They ran more interior. The same is true of the back at Oregon State, especially against the touted USC defense. I can't remember is Oregon State ran a version of the spread.

I can see how there may be safety issues to over-running Holliday in this style. But, given that he has the potential to take the ball to the house with even the smallest of openings, it seems logical to have the offensive line block well for him, and test the opposing team's defensive line and linebackers a little more with pure speed.

I don't think Trindon is an every down kind of back, and I certainly don't want to see him get hurt. But, I disagree with ALWAYS outside mentality.

Am I crazy? Answer after the instictive YES!

I'd like to see it happen more, but I have to think they've tried it in practice and he has fumble-itis when running into the interior. One thing I've noticed about Trindon is he doesn't like to get hit (and who can blame him). On most of his runs and kickoff/punt returns, he runs out of bounds alot. Pure speculation on my part, but it seems to make sense.

I think Holliday can't run when they get his feet tied up. He geaux's down pretty easy when they bundle his legs up, ya just gotta catch lil fugger first.

His outside ability does a great job of spreading the coverage. It is fun to watch him try to out run the footrace outside.

Dude got burners I just think he needs a bigger hole to avoid the leg tackle. He has made a huge improvement protecting the ball so I hope he keeps that up.

i think he has trouble catching the ball in traffic (Punt).
I can't remember him giving the ball up on a kickoff catch or on any kind of run once he has secured the ball except for the SEC CG last year when he ran into CS and the ball got hit by CS's helmet. Other than the catching of the punts, I don't think he has had a fumbling problem.

My honest opinion is that he's just not strong enough. I've seen him get decleated a few times already this year and it's only a matter of time before he takes a shot like that and forgets his name and which team he's playing on.

That's all we would need...him chasing down Charles Scott after he breaks into the open! LOL

All joking aside, he's just not tough enough. A D-Lineman could pinky-tackle him.

Don't you guys think that Florida's backs were helped immensely by having a QB(Tebow) that can and does run quite well himself? Very similar to the wild hog formation in that respect. Our LBs could not tell who had the ball and which one was running. They are also very good at disguising their intentions.

I think TH can run between the tackles(he has done it before) but it might not have the same results as Florida because of differing skill sets in our QBs.
