How often do you block a punt? Not very often. I just think it is unlikely that a punt get's blocked and if anything I bet in college or the nfl running into the kicker or roughing the kicker is called a lot more then a punt actually being blocked.
I don't get why you take the gamble there either. It totally changed the game. I felt that we still had a good chance at that point.
no you miss the whole point I mean do you really think Lee was taking us on a 90 yard drive to win the game? No, not likely. The call was brilliant. It worked! Only one problem, Graff got there and didn't know what the phuck to do. It was an easy block if he comes at an angle and dives across in front of the punters lower body like he is taught to do in practice everyday. He blocks that and LSU probably wins that game. LSU would have had the ball who knows where. No worse than the 30 of Alabama. Probably even better than that.
It was either a blocked punt or a turnover at or near that part of the field that would give us our only real chance at winning. Oh wait, we did get a turnover. Or did we?
Agreed that the block scheme was very questionable. And Graff's angle was horrible. No reason for him to commit that penalty.
