I'm a fan of all our backs. No hiding i'm a Hilliard fan, but is there an actual pecking order with our running backs? It seems like they all get random playing time...

Haven't figured it out yet, other than that - right now - Blue is the apple of Les' eye. Hilliard had a buck-41 last week, and he's barely seen the ball tonight.

Time to steal the name from Notre Dame...

Hilliard, Ford, Blue, and Ware as "The Four Horsemen"... and J.C. Copeland as "The Chuck Wagon"!

Les uses blue first, then hilliard.... Then ware then ford...i do notice inside about the 20 hilliard gets the nod for power, ware is abeast, ford is just a tad less than a beast. We dont have crazy trindon holliday speed but we have a great mixture of power, blue seems the fastest, butnot thebiggest

Do we even see Terrance Magee this year? He looked very promising in limited time last year. But everyone's talking like Hill would be the next one in line.

Hell, why even play Hill unless someone gets injured? they run 5 backs already if you count JC.

I posted this in another thread, but while it's impressive that we rushed for nearly 250 yards, we only averaged 4.7 per carry. Washington actually did a good job not allowing us to break one (aside from Blue's 21 yard TD) and they didn't appear to wear down until very late. Watching the game, it seemed like we averaged at least 7 or 8 per attempt, so I was surprised to see it was under 5. Nothing to be concerned about at this point, but it was a weird stat that caught my eye.

I responded in the other thread, but the reason why it looked at least 7 or 8 is because it was until the end of the game when we were just eating clock slamming it straight up the gut not even trying to vary up the calling.

Yep, I saw it and that's a valid point, but you'd think that late in the game, they'd be worn out and couldn't stop anything. Credit to them for doing so.
