Since we all see some different games, I'm curious who y'all think has the best field vision. That is, who can see how a plays developing and how best to hit the gaps. I think these are my top 3, but am open for suggestions: 1 -- Deuce McAllister -- sure, he's a powerful runner, but he seems to have a great sense of where to go, before the gap opens up. Ranking him #1 surprises me, but everytime I watch him run, it seems like he innately knows where to go. The guy is still underrated by most. 2 -- Michael Vick -- I firmly believe that he projects his runs 20 yards ahead of where he's at, like a chess game. Just phenomenal to see guys fly by him, with no attempt at a tackle. That's not random. 3 -- LT -- Hell, the guy is going by LT. I never thought those initials would mean anything different than the baddest man in the land on D. Up and coming -- Addai -- In the past two weeks, he's busted quick stutters to either side, rather than completely changing directions. I think he's well on his way!
I think Shaun Alexander is up there. He doesnt have the speed to kill people with, but he hits the cutback lanes better than anyone.
I dunno about that. I saw him sorting mail in a commercial and he could barely see the mail slots through his visor.
I know he sat out this year and may retire, but Preist Holmes was considered to have the best "vision" of all the backs in the NFL.
Don't forget about the other back that goes by his initials, LJ. In a game this year, I saw a run by him that was sick. It was a straight handoff, he got to the line and pretty much stopped, looked for a hole, hit it and he was gone. Camera man had to catch up with him and made it even more awesome to watch.
