The reason that so many get so down, is that so many get so fired up when they should not. I love LSU football and the uniforms and the stadium, the whole deal, but I don't think it is pessimistic to honestly assess the situation, make that the reality, and not be optimistic. I have already read in this thread about "maybe 2016." It is the same every year, almost like clockwork. By now we are forgetting the good, not great prior year, we are fired up about our recruirs, and then we start, "this is our year." But it isn't and hasn't been And realistically it won't be this year either. There is a viable, middle ground between we are NC shoo ins and we suck. And that is where we are until we get a Great QB and an innovative offense. Doesn't mean LSU football is not special, but we just don't have the horses. Again this year.
This is wrong. we do have the horses especially with all the returning players. it comes down to coaching a viable 19th century offense and getting our special teams in order.
