And to add, it's not like both sides ("negatigers" and "pumpers") don't have points... i would bet that if you could record the goings on in most houses during the loses, the conversations (screaming) would probably sound exactly the same... but when you only make the same point over and over and over it becomes tiresome... even good gumbo starts to taste bad if you eat it three time a day for years...

Good stuff here, Shane - although I find it interesting that someone with a "championship or bust" mentality would want our QB to aspire to be like two QBs who never won a championship. :D

Now then....if the guy who sells me a new car guarantees me I'll go 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds, and I get the thing on the highway and it starts hesitating and blowing smoke at 45, I know exactly where to take the piece o'crap. But a football team isn't a a machine, and there are never guarantees. I think there's a big difference between failure, and failure to live up to expectations. Failure was what Mike Archer did in 1987; preseason #7 in the nation and went 4-7. 2015 was failure to meet expectations. And I'm not downplaying the disappointment, or saying anyone who wants Miles fired is out of line. I guess I'm just a little more forgiving of a person who fails to do as well as I think he should do. I'm also old enough to remember how many people actually thought Curley Hallman was going to turn the program around. That QB Tom Hermann had at Houston this year wasn't Brett Favre, but he sure made his coach look good a few times.

I agree there is a big difference b/w bitching and being negative for no reason and bitching to point out flaws. There are flaws here, there has been flaws for a while with this coaching staff and the recruitment of athletic but stupid players. There has been screw ups with not getting more of the position of need (ie only one QB, then getting up shit creek and then have to pull in one at the 11th hour and only 1 LB).

I agree my expectations are high next year. I say if miles doesn't win at least an SEC champ and make the playoffs next year time to hit the road. Truly we should win the NC and LF7 should win the Heisman......but we were suppose to have the number one recruiting class so there's that.

Ranting aside I feel like there are those of us that will bitch to bitch but it is more to vent frustration at seeing our beloved Tigers fall out of the ranks of the elite in the country. We want things to be fixed and when obvious things are not fixed (ie running the ball 90% of time against the gumps so even my 3 year old boy knew what play was going to be run) it leaves you with nothing but to bitch. Many of us dont see things changing when it looks like the changes should be obvious.

Great stuff here as well. I know it was a jab but I don't have a championship or bust mentality, that is the ghost of red talking. What I'm pointing out is a pattern of mediocrity. If it were one game or hell one season I'd overlook it. Instead it's the opposite.

OK. And man, I know what I'm opening myself up for by going to this fact, but what the hell: when did 78% become mediocre? Just reinforces my point about blaming others for our own expectations,

No, all I have is hope that Brandon or one of the other QB's will improve enough that our passing game is not a liability. Sports and athletes are unpredictable.

It is when 60 something teams make bowl games.

What does LSU have to show that they are an elite program over the past 5 years and where on the field have you seen any type of improvement?

Hate's a strong word, my friend. I prefer natural ones, but definitely don't hate augmented ones.
