Didn't hear he took it. Mike S said we might hear something as early as tonight if he did indeed take it.
Peveto didn't make it back in time for practice today. He stayed overtime up in Natchitoches. Seal that deal with a kiss.
LSU gave Peveto an LSU airplane to make sure he got up to that interview for the head coaching job in Natchitoches, LA yesterday: Peveto interviewed to become the next Northwestern State head coach... To do so, Peveto flew to Natchitoches on an LSU airplane With LSU linebackers coach Bradley Dale Peveto not around, head coach Les Miles jumped in to run a few drills “I was over there for a piece of it and enjoyed it,” Miles said. “I suspect my individual periods were not nearly as specific as Bradley Dale’s.” A graduate assistant worked with Miles and the linebackers, Miles said. “I had some option experience and so I’ve been over there,” Miles said. “I don’t know that I’m tremendously helpful, but I’m making sure there’s attention to detail on certain aspects of the defensive gameplan.” Miles said he and walk-on running back Phillip Pigott exchanged blows during practice “He isn’t that little,” Miles said of Pigott. “I hit him today. I was down there in my individual period and had to play defensive end for a while. … He makes a nice cut though. I think he may be in the training room, now.” http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/36369594.html
Several newspapers are mentioning how an LSU private jet was provided to Peveto so he could go interview in Natchitoches (Glenn Guilbeau's article even said: When asked if Peveto flew on an LSU plane, Miles said, "Absolutely.") One SEC blog even mocked the whole thing: Peveto flew to the interview on a jet made available to him by LSU. “Wanting to leave, gee we’d hate that, here take our plane and here’s 50 bucks spending cash, don’t let the door…”
The advocate is reporting that he will be introduced as their new coach Monday. And Mallory will (hopefully) take accept his new job and we'll get some real talent at DC. I'm happy knowing that a change will be made.
