Tons of internet rumors going on about suspensions, nothing from staff. Rumors range from caught smoking weed to cocaine. Rumor on the players is 3 to 6 and a couple starters, a couple backups that get playing time and some bench guys. So it’s all over the board on what is going on, so likely not true.
I wouldn't know. It's all I can do to pay for these kids of mine. Paid my last tuition payment to LSU on December 1 so that daughter #2 could graduate. They really think I'm just gonna keep giving them money for the hell of it? SMDH
Where do colleges come off wanting alumni to give them money for the rest our lives, They are in the business of providing an education for which we pay dearly for, some even being saddled with soul crushing debt that will take years to pay back, I am grateful to LSU for the education. It has been paid for. I will continue to root for the sports teams and I actually care when they don't have enough money because of some idiot politician like Booby Jindal. But I'm not sending them any money unless it's for tickets or LSU apparel. If I buy a pair of shoes from a store they might be good shoes. Good fit, comfortable and durable. I am likely to go back to that store next time I need a pair of shoes but I'm not giving them any money other than the price of the shoes. Unlike LSU they don't have sports teams to root for (maybe Nike and Addidas and Under Armor do but not the store.) If I hear that the store has mismanaged their money and is about to go out if business I don't care. I'll just buy shoes someplace else. If I ever take some kind of continuing education course from LSU I will pay them for it. Go find another sucker to hand over money for a lifetime, It's like a damned church wanting people to give them 10% of every thing they earn. Get in line.
I think LSU is a great example of mismanaged funds. While I give a little, its only thru specific programs/initiatives. Also, my co matches 100% so its a 2fer. Lets just say they are heavily invested in the accounting and audit programs.
Yeah they are really protective of LSU kids and as I learned committed prospects that aren't even officially tigers yet. There was an offensive lineman that we were recruiting I think he was already committed and there's a picture of him someone posted and the dude had titties. So I made a joke about how he had titties and they banned me.
