Every one is entitled to believe what they want to believe----BUT---something happened BEFORE that game!! I do not know what it was, but something happened for the LSU offense to play so totally uninspired and non-aggressive. So was the play calling! You could see it in their faces--go back and look at the tapes. I would just like to know what happened-and I guess so would every one!
If that were true, I think it would've come out. Not by Miles, but some of the players or coaches 'speaking on condition of remaining anonymous' would have leaked it to the media. At the very least, T-bob would've told Bobby and Bobby would've told the world. What reason would they have to keep that info to themselves? T-bob is a senior, so either certainly have no reason to hold back. And as pissed as Bobby was after the game, for the way it was called and the way his son was treated (by not getting into the game for a single down), if anything negative happened before the game that added to the uninspired performance, he would have said so.
larryh - have you ever played on a team where the was no way to win the game with the way the events were transpiring on the field? I know I have. I been involved in games where no matter what we did as athletes we were doomed to lose because of the game plan that was being implemented. You know no matter how hard you fight that you are going to lose, I have not been in many of those games but I was in a few. I remember talking to my teammates at the time during the game and we were all dejected because we knew the fate before the end of the game and that is very dejecting and deflating. I personally feel that the players knew with the game plan was not going to work and after halftime realized that the adjustments they were making would not work either and knew that they were doomed to fail because of the leadership. That is what I saw on the sidelines a team that was defeated because of the game plan they were implementing was not going to work.
Well there was something going on which I have alluded to in earlier posts. The proof is in the way the OL played. If you watched the replay, they were trying to get JJ out of the game but Miles refused to do it. On several plays the Bama DE was not even blocked because our OT turned inside to block allowing the DE a clean shot at JJ. There was a reason why they wanted JJ out of the game which I have posted earlier. Let's be glad thay the JJ/JL era is over.
Well said. It's about a long layoff and an inspired, better prepared opponent seeking revenge. The conspiracy theories are IMO laughable
Not buying your conspiracy theory, but I do agree that it is good that the JJ/JL era is finally over... I will never understand Les' undying loyalty to Jefferson, and I wonder if he now realizes how huge of a mistake it was. Likely cost him a national championship by relying on a idiot that gets in bar parking lot fights when he should be focusing on his senior season.
Not trying to convince you of it. I stand by my source who was a local radio/TV host close to the program.
