Jarvis Landry was the #1 WR recruit in the nation. He tore it up at the Army AA game, pretty sure he won MVP. Odell Beckham Jr, #6 WR in the country and #40 player overall. Over 1000 yards receiving his Sr year. Jarrett Fobbs, rated the #9 athlete in the nation by SuperPrep James Wright, #42 WR in the nation over 1000 yards receiving as a Jr Kadron Boon #12 WR in the country and member of rivals 250 underarmour AA over 1200 yards receiving as a Jr And I didn't mention Shep like you asked. The talent is there, the question is has it been developed into players ready to take the field against SEC competition.
You can't usually change that mindset especially if it's an issue from the beginning. Ill lean toward him being average if that is true.
But...why even throw the ball to the FB behind the line of scrimmage? was he expected to outrun the fla secondary? or maybe put a barry sanders type move to juke them out of their jocks for a score?
The 2 other times in the game we ran it we got about 5 yards. We were on the goal line you know. It is a really simple concept, poor execution.
You don't teach kids to catch once they get here. That part should be known and the reason why recruited. This isn't really making any sense. They run chit routes -- Coaching They cant catch this year -- Players
I agree. It was in referencing my remarks earlier in the day about not having a super-talented group of WRs. Twisted Tiger was giving their rankings as high schoolers, and I was agreeing that they may have been highly-rated coming out of high school, but they aren't good SEC receivers.
