Can anyone shed some light on this quarterback prospect that only recently showed up as being interested in LSU? http://lsu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=37066
i hope that the staff realizes that with some of the injuries, etc... that 3 QBs just may not be enough
I saw that a few days ago as well....and to be honest, I would offer him. Like you said, Clair, 3 QB's just might not be enough.....especially if one (Flynn) should transfer (though I still believe that they'll all return for next season).
I don't know anything about him, but I am curious how Miami (OH) and Kentucky are considered alongside LSU and Tennessee. That's like trying to decide if you'd rather live in Nigeria or Iran v. Sweden or Switzerland.
We should not waste a scholarship on a player that we have not heard anything about until now. I promise you that James Welker is just as good as this Ruby Kirbus guy. Really, we are young and pretty deep at QB. Nobody is going to transfer. JR will always be hurt b/c he will always take the big hit trying to make a play. We will be alright. We need to use that scholarship on another need position. I promise we will be just fine not getting another QB until next years class. What quality Qb would wan:geauxtige t to sign right after RP anyway?
Definitely. My guess would be that we are recruiting him to walk on. If we gave him a scholarship, I would be shocked & dissapointed because we could have gotten a better QB (Cate) if we were willing to give a QB a scholarship this season.
Somehow I doubt that...I mean, I'm sure he's got a scholly from SOME mid-major program... But you never know??? The younger brother of one of my high school friends turned down a scholarship to Southern Miss to walk-on at LSU....didn't prosper by THAT move, but I guess, after all was said and done, he accomplished what he wanted and ended up where his heart was reguardless of a scholarship....
Any QB willing to come to LSU would have to be a walk on. Considering our depth at that position, I don't see Miles wasting a scholarship on another QB.
