If I were a WVU administrator I would set some serious lines down for this guy. He accepts the Bama deal, backs out, and then returns to WVU with a nice contract extension. Isnt it nice to not entertain a job for at least one year after that?
Think FESPN will apologize if Meeeeechigan hires RR ? NOTE: Henceforth the above can now be referred to as the "five letter" network !
Did he actually accept the Bama offer? It was my impression that an offer was presented to him, and WV beat it. At any rate, WV came close to losing him then, but I don't know if they can hold on to him again. I wish Bama had gotten him. Then Saban would possibly still be in Miami or some non-SEC school.
Anybody that takes the time to test the waters and entertain an offer has a foot out the door. If the offer is right, RR is going to be the next coach for UM. I sure as hell hope so. As a staunch supporter of :milesmic: , I'll be waiting for all the apologies...including from my own father, who tells me at every turn how :milesmic: is gone to UM after this season. He's nuts, just like the rest of you that share that line of thinking.
Yes and he had representation for him in Tuscaloosa already. Meltdown on Finebaum was definitely worth the listen.
Thought he was so in love with his alma mater? I guess he's winning, but doesn't feel he can sustain it? Or he has a better chance of winning consistently somewhere else? Coaches always have their head on a swivel, and will sign a long term deal and leave the next day, but to be fair, when the powers that be get ready to run them, they don't let a long term contract stop them from showing a HC the door. That and sometimes expectations can be ridiculous, make for a situation where a coach doesn't feel any loyalty anymore.
