Maybe someone posted earlier, but with the goat-screw vs. UT, a horrible passing game and stupid penalties on offense, does it not make somewhat decent sense to allow Billy to call plays since LSU is playing Florida? Perhaps this is the stars aligning to finally cut sling on Crowton, or at least marginalize him. Can't hurt letting Billy G call plays.
It can't get any worse than Crowton. Let Billy call the plays and get a free preview of his abilities. Then you can decide whether or not to promote him to full-time OC next year.
The actual problem was that they ran out of fingers and didn't have enough time to get their shoes and socks off to continue counting. Also, did anyone expect Miles to say anthing different? Looking at his offensive performance, saying something like, "no, we are not considering making any changes," might have been a death nail.
has this been posted anywhere on TF? LSU football Coach Les Miles said Gary Crowton may coach on field Saturday: video | NOLA.com
apparently gordie rush's idea but its not going to happen. first time i listened to les' show all year i think and he said they thought about it but the silence of the pressbox is best for making decisions away from the emotion of the game. so its not happening. change does not come easy with this hc. takes almost an apocalypse. i thought last week was close enough. guess not. i suppose it will take a loss.
it doesn't help gary but if it means someone else calls the plays then it helps LSU. tirk, maybe i missed something. what does gordy rush ahve to do with the video of the press asking him and him saying it might happen? i just posted this without knowing the story so help me out...
