so they amended it in 2007 which went in effect for 2008. the rollover didnt happen although i thought hultberg said differently. so lets hope they roll him over to 2016. may as well.
thats what throws everything off. but reportedly that the part that has to be approved and wasnt according to one of those multiple articles.
I thought his contract was for five years, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. So how does he get an additional 2 years, 2013 & 2014. Aren't we locked in for only 2 more years and not 4 more long ass miserable years?
I can't copy/paste, but it seems that his contract states that if he is terminated without cause (listed in contract), the school will pay him $1.825 million a year through the remainder of his contract (MAX $10 million). This will be reduced by any pay he gets from any other job. He is under a good faith clause that says he will attempt to find other employment. So, LSU is not as financially tied to Miles as I thought. If he wanted, Miles could easily find another job somewhere making $1 million a year, leaving LSU with less than a million annually owed to him. I could have completely misread the contract. **Note, I am not happy with Miles, but I do not want him fired**
Who cares? What this team does from here on out will define how they are remembered. We are one decent offensive coordinator away from Championships...heck we may even get one with him. Not to pump sunshine, but if that debacle ends up rallying this team, demoting Crowton, and ultimately leads to his for sure dismissal at the end of the year. Then its worth it. I live in Memphis, the SEC melting pot, and everyone is having fun at my expense, but a lot of them would give anything to experience the success we have had under Miles.
its 15 mill according to everyone who thinks they know something. how it got there i dont care at this point.
