California peoples are conditioned to fire no different then Mexicans are conditioned to tortillas. Air quality will decide if the game is played there. In L.A., that is never an issue.
G2G homie. I am 80 miles souf from the fires. Shout out to vBall, hope all is well with you and yours.
good to hear, i was watching Brian Williams at 5 yesterday on the NBC news, and there was this i guess semi mountain in one of the state parks, and a huge smoke could formed 2 miles high in the sky, it was nasty looking. I never understood fires in California, do they start off as control burns, and if so, haven't they learned their lesson by now?
Only every couple ten years or so does a control fire get outta hand. They start mostly from stupid stuff like tossing lit cigarettes or camp fires. We had a dude get lost in the woods a few years back and started a signal fire for help. Killed a bunch of folks. He is still locked up. Don't take much though. We get almost no rain annually and this time of year everything is so brittle, just a single ember can light up the side of a hill. This is the windy time of year also, so that never helps. Firefighters earn their pay for real out here.
Hi: I am the one that took the photograph that is posted on CNN showing the hills on fire above the Rose Bowl. It is being shown on CNN, HLN, ESPN, & AccuWeather. Say a prayer for the people that are in the way of the fire. Tammy Alsterlind Alsterlind Photography website: Zenfolio | Alsterlind Photography
I'm okay. Air is smokey here from the Pendleton fire but it's been contained. My 2nd cousin lost his home in the Station Fire. Once again it's arson, which makes it a double homicide from the two firefighters who died. Officials: Arson Caused Deadly Station Fire - cbs2.com
