I was browsing on ebay and came across this.....:helmet: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290207869764&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=019
Claims to be from '05. LSU didn't participate in a BCS game in '05 Also, Prude's only BCS game with LSU was the '03 season and the BCS logo was different then than the one on this helmet.
Maybe not. Technically, no where does he say it's "authentic". Nor does he say that it's "game worn". If you look at the jerseys on there, they have the cheap screen printed ones and they almost always list the name of the player currently wearing whatever number is for sale. So because it has #8 on it, he can say it's Prude's or even Trindon and not be "lieing"
Well, I just found a good pic of the back of Chad Jones helmet from Jan 7. It looks like Chad Jones wore a Schutt for the CG this year. All of the decals appear to be in the right place, and the face mask is the same style Trindon wore this year. Edit: kinda difficult to see, but it lokos like Trindon DID wear a Schutt helmet.
eBay does not have a system of validating individual sales. Best read the listing like a lawyer to ensure anything is git. Perhaps it is a 3 dollar helmet some dude with the same name bought ON eBay. Possibilities are endless with what you buy on eBay, just have to read very careful. Anything authentic typically comes with a certificate. I have a basketball signed by Jordan, Magic, and ole whats his name...LARRY BIRD from the 1st dream team, in play for a round of free throws etc, comes with a certificate of validation. This item was not purchased on eBay.
