Anybody watching the Colts/Pats game saw something quite unbelievable. Brady trying to run a QB sneak didn't come close to getting a first down on a critical 4th down play near midfield just before the half. This stupid phuck of a referee comes running in and immediately calls for a first down without even measuring it. Someone, oh someone, please explain this. Check this guy's bank account in the morning.
That reminds me of something else. I noticed this both in the LSU game and Saints game this weekend. Team takes over the ball at the 20 after a touchback. They almost get to the 30 on third down but are just short. Ball is obviously not touching the 30 yard line, but they measure anyway. What do they think, the line is crooked?? Yet they place the chain down at the 25 and extend it. What if that line is crooked too?
Exactly. Part of me couldn't believe it, while the other part of me was surprised they didn't decide that upon further review, Brady actually got into the endzone. Perhaps the SEC is providing some of these crooked officials.  My wife gets all worked up about this too. It's one of the stranger things they do.
Holy hell, did you see the Harrison TD?!?!??!! So I wonder who's the second best WR in the league? :hihi:
Not only was it not close to a first down, but how did he not measure? Winters made an effort to get on with the play right away...hmmm
Exactly, and have you ever seen the back judge come in and spot the ball?! I thought I was watching a pro wresting official.
My favorite part was when the Al Micheals exclaims "how does he signal a first down when there is no way to even see where the ball is"?
