Ron Paul Sets MSNBC Host Right On Taxes

I agree with everything this guy says. This country would be much better off with him or someone like him in the White House.

It is unfortunate that modern day democracy is so dominated by superficial characteristics such as voice, height, body language and the impression one makes during tv debates, speeches, etc.

For Congressman Paul I think he is almost unelectable on the national stage because he lacks a "powerful" persona on the tv but as far as his ideas and stance on various issues I think he is spot on....especially his point on the cost of education and military spending.

Paul had a good line in an interview the other day.....he said, "we live in a country where truth is treason".

It's amazing really.....just look at some of the lies that society marinates in at the moment:

    1) Men and women are essentially the same....most gender differences arise from social formation. (Complete crap...it's genetic)

    2) Heterosexual and homosexual relationships/couples are both equally valid "lifestyle" choices. (They have no way of knowing this)

    3) A woman has the right to terminate the life of her unborn baby simply because the baby is still inside the mother. If the baby is outside the mother's body and the mother decides to terminate the baby's life....well, that's murder. Beyond ridiculous.:rolleye33:

    4) The nation with the most powerful military the world has ever seen was threatened by two of the most dysfunctional, impoverished and impotent regimes on the planet.....Afghanistan and Iraqi, specifically. We were forced to invade and occupy both countries to keep from fighting them "over here".

    5) The Federal Reserve (a private bank) is allowed to create money out of thin air, then lend it to the US government and charge the US government interest. The US government is then forced to extract the money required to repay the interest from US citizens. The interest burdern could be avoided completely if the US government just created the money itself and eliminated the Federal Reserve.

    6) That life on earth "evolved" from lifeless matter over billions and billions of years.....despite the fact that this is utterly impossible and there has never been an example of life starting from lifeless matter. No experiment has ever shown this to be in any way plausible. Life is always and everywhere a result of already living matter. But despite this they have the majority of the world convinced that "from interstellar dust burst forth consciousness".....they must think people have **** fo' brains.

    7) The globe is currently in the midst of a catastrophic warming period caused by mankind's awful use of energy around the world. (This despite the fact that there are all kinds of contradictory data about the climate and the scientific validity of the majority of the reporting on this subject is highly questionable.)

    8) And last but not least....martin is under the impression that the more obnoxious he is regarding the subject of 9/11 the more it makes it true.

What are you so afraid of martin?

this has nothing to do with anything.

the goal of life, as far as i know, is to be happy. so homosexuals and people who screw horses are all ok. all lifestyles are equally valid. it isnt my job to tel people how to be happy. if they love a nice buggering, god bless em.

yes, we know, our government murders its own citizens. good work unearthing the truth, dude.

pretty sure your boy ron paul is a believer in evolution.

it seems kind of juvenile for you to interject the "truther" line into every thread, man. The original post had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with 9/11.

Well, that settles it. Paul is not intelligent or pragmatic enough to be president. He's just another ideologue.

No less or no more than what we have in the white house now or in the past. All politicans can be labled an ideologue by the opposing party. Any person with a diffrent viewpoint = ideologue.

I don't know that those are Paul's positions....I was just pointing out how impractical it is to bring up completely non-related topics in a thread for personal reasons.

I hope Paul runs, though. It's good for the country to hear some other viewpoints besides the focus group-talking point robots that seem to dominate the republican party.....sad really. Obama could be easily beaten but at this point I don't see a viable presidential candidate on the horizon. Palin would be a disaster waiting to happen and Romney is too slick looking for his own good.
