Mark is the name being thrown around, but at that school, you never know.

Would it suck? absolutely. But it's how coaching in football works. Start low, then work your way up. Cooper im sure wants to a DC somewhere. It's the next step in becoming a head coach and really hitting a big payday. That's why you see a lot of DC's or OC's jump to smaller schools as head coaches. Then if they do good bigger jobs open. Auburns a terrible place to go, but I'm sure he'd love the oppertunity to be a DC

In the coaching business, you have to move to move up. Les will be able to fill any vacancies with top applicants. He always has.

You do know that Coop was a HC at three schools? Louisville, Alabama A&M and Eastern Mich. Also a DC at three schools to boot.

Don't see this one happening. He has been there and done that and really enjoys it here. Kids at U-high, etc... He never really liked the stress of it all from what I have heard.

You never know, but most coaches I talk with now, they are looking more and more with stability within a program. These things along with their Families are coming more into play, money at times is an afterthought.

trust me, cooper is not currently a serious candidate for any role at Auburn it's just the silly season.

(I'm in no way implying the man isn't qualified )
