Yes, and we all as humans are selfish and biased, to a degree. But those 7 panelists know a lot more about NFL football than we do, which makes their opinion more interesting than ours.

I don't see how you think you are less biased than those 7 panelists.

You gave your opinion on 35-year-old T.O. Where would you rank 31-year-old Randy Moss?

    Per NFL.com:

    Moss
13,034 receiving yards, 132 receiving TDs

    T.O.
13,918 receiving yards, 138 receiving TDs

    my list:

    1. Rice
    2. Owens
    3. Carter
    4. Harrison
    5. Moss

My list is a little more "modern", I guess because I get to see the guys in the 60s-70s, etc... but just like the boom of the slugger in baseball, the 80s, 90s and 2000s has been the boom of the receivers, because teams throw it so much more.

I just put Moss behind the other guys, because to me, he is a one-trick pony in a way.

That's not a knock on him, because granted, his one-trick is damn near impossible to stop. But he is almost exclusively a deep threat and not much else.

When it's 3rd and 6, Brady/Cassel is throwing it to Welker, not to Moss.

I just think that Carter, Owens and Harrison are more possession guys, while also having the ability to go deep, too.

And just to add now that I see you changed your post to include age.

Don't assume that just because Moss is 4 years younger, he has a 4-year head start on T.O.

Moss is built waaaaaay different than T.O. and again, it may be a totally biased outlook, but I think T.O. is way more capable of playing into his late 30s at a high level than Moss is.

here's a link with the current drop stats in the NFL.

I didn't add this to strengthen or weaken my point, as T.O. is in the middle of the pack on the list among elite receivers. But I can say the only season in his career he had more than 10 was the year he had the broken finger.

What is so interesting to me is Edwards. wow.

I would put Moss at #2. If Moss had a work ethic like Rice he would probably be #1. Certainly has more natural talent than any other guy imo. However, Clair makes a good point by saying Moss wasnt as reliable on thrid down because that wasnt his game. Thats why I think it is extremely difficult to rank WR's and RB's. A case could be made for a number of guys to be in the top five and you could debate certain topics to death such as deep threat, hands, longevity, his QB, stats, etc...

Hold on a minute, i never said a receiver was judged by how many rings they have. That was in response to you saying the boys, eagles, and niners won with T.O.

In an interview with Deion Sanders this year, T.O. said getting him the ball brings championships. Well since he's second to only Jerry Rice in TDs, it's apparent he has gotten the ball. But yet no titles????

T.O. is all about himself. He's not a team player, he's a selfish bastard. Just look at the temper tantrum he pulled after the loss to the Steelers Sunday. T.O. could have been the best ever possibly, but his selfishness prevented that.
